It’s Good 2 Give officially came to life in April 2010 and already we have raised over £1,000,000 for young people with cancer and their families in Scotland. We may be tiny but we have huge ambitions.
We continue to help with anything that can make the lives of young cancer patients and their families in any way easier though special requests from Health Professionals. We provide practical support like ironing for families who are spending time in hospital, healthy snacks and treats on the Edinburgh ward as only the patient would be provided meals in the hospital, Parent Packs with overnight essentials and treats for both Edinburgh and Glasgow. We look into every practical request possible and have even provided 50% deposit for a teens car so he could get to college and on another occasion, brightly coloured crutches instead of boring grey adult crutches.
In 2017 we opened our long term dream, The Ripple Retreat , a purpose-built respite house. Families from Scotland who's child is on or off treatment, and bereaved families are able to apply for a short break to enjoy the time together there in peaceful traquil and truly beautiful surroundings on the shore of Loch Venacher near Callander.
As an organisation,’ It’s Good 2 Give’ is hardworking, energetic and lively.
The children and young people ‘It’s Good 2 Give’ supports are hopeful, positive and inspiring. Thank you for choosing It's Good 2 Give!
