Public transport for Sunday events

The start of the Bournemouth Marathon, and Half Marathon is on Kings Park Drive. The race will finish at Bournemouth Pier Approach in the town centre. Event parking will be available at Kings Park.

On foot

The races start on Kings Park Drive. Your race instructions will give you a map of the area.

By bus

More buses and Yellow buses operate local bus services close to the start area. Please visit bus websites for more information. Or you can choose an Official BMF Shuttle Bus.

By train

The nearest train station is Bournemouth Central. This is midway between the start and the finish lines, with an approximate walk of 15 minutes to the finish. This station is serviced by South West Trains.


NB: Trains do not run on time to get to the Half Marathon start.

GETTING BACK TO KINGS PARK AFTER THE RACE

By event shuttle bus

There will be event shuttle buses operating between the finish area and Kings Park. These services are the fastest way to travel and we strongly suggest you opt to travel this way. Tickets for these services can be bought from the online shop. Please note that there may be a parking fee payable at the car park – this is not covered by your bus ticket.

BMF HUB

During race weekend you can visit the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Hub if you need to pick up a race pack or require any information about the Bournemouth Marathon Festival. The Lower Gardens are located close to Bournemouth Pier Approach, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH2 5AA.

In the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Hub you will find the Bournemouth Marathon Festival Help Desk. This facility is available for those who need to pick up race packs (overseas or late entrants) or require any information about the event.
